Recipe: Big Game Sliders
Another Cookin' Somethin win! This is no regular slider sandwich, prime rib and bone marrow sooooo good your friends will know you are as one in this game!
Ingredients
- 6 bone marrow bones, trench cut
- 2 quarts beef stock
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2-3 fresh bay leaves
- 2-3 rosemary sprigs
- Kosher salt
- Cracked black pepper
For the assembly:
- Prime rib
- Caramelized onions
- Whole milk mozzarella
- King Hawaiian rolls
- Softened butter
- Granulated garlic
- Sesame seeds
Directions
Preheat oven to 450°F. Add onions and fresh herbs to the bottom of a sheet tray. Place bones on top and roast for 15-20 minutes.
Once bone marrow is soft, add beef stock and bones from prime rib. Continue to cook in the oven for 1 hour, or until stock is fortified. Jump to step 4 in the sliders cooking method.
Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place both halves on a sheet tray. Top one side with thinly sliced roast beef, caramelized onions, and mozzarella.
Add the second half of rolls on top, slather with softened butter, and sprinkle with garlic powder. Finish with sesame seeds.
Remove stock from the oven and turn the oven off. Add rolls to the oven and bake until the cheese has melted.
Remove rolls from the oven and carefully remove the tops from the sliders. Add softened bone marrow and top with buns. Dip sandwiches into au jus.
